About Us

Wyoming PTO aims to enhance our children’s opportunities to learn and grow while creating a sense of belonging and community.  With a PTO membership your family is not only able to participate in all PTO programs and events, but you will also have access to the Wyoming School Directory.

What does the PTO do with your money? Your PTO dollars support many important and fulfilling programs for our children, and allow the PTO to beautify and enrich their learning environment in other ways too! There are many ways, large and small, the PTO enhances the lives of Wyoming School students on a daily basis. Here are just a few of them:

  • A children’s book author visits our school each year.

  • A variety of cultural programs and special assemblies are presented each year.

  • The PTO subsidizes the bulk of field trip expenses and provides all new students with a Wyoming field trip t-shirt.

  • Books and other necessities are purchased for the library and computer lab.

  • Meetings, newsletters and emails keep you informed.

  • Teacher mini-grants, games for indoor recess, teaching tools and playground equipment are provided and maintained, including the Gaga pit at Slayton Field.

  • Over several years, LCD projectors with interactive whiteboards and audio enhancement systems have been installed in all classrooms. This year, the music class received a new mobile sound system and a mobile SMART Board.

  • Offer a scholarship program to provide some lunches, instruments and more for students in need of assistance in our school.

  • The PTO tries to donate some larger items back to the school:
    • At the end of the 2014-2015 school year, we donated a new mobile sound system and a mobile SMART Board to the music program. We purchased 20 Boogie Boards for the Kindergarten. We obtained Go Noodle for the entire school to use for the school year. We installed another water bottle filing station on the 2nd floor and purchased another Wyoming Rug for the entrance to the gym.
    • The 2015-2016 school year donations have been approved and are currently being coordinated. More details coming soon!
